ALL VACANCIES FOR 2002 HAVE BEEN FILLED
These teachers will have to be able to address the individual
needs of Anangu students, for whom English is a Second Language.
Class size is small in comparison to mainstream with half the
usual numbers because of special education needs. Educational
demands, however, are high.
Our focus areas of literacy and numeracy are addressed through seven areas
of study (no LOTE) and follow general DETE policies including the
implementation of SACSA Frameworks. There is a special emphasis
on developing skills that will empower students to take control
of their own learning and eventual destiny. We provide strong
support and T&D opportunities for all staff.
While we are isolated there are compensations in the beauty of
the Tomkinson Ranges and opportunities to learn about a traditional
Aboriginal culture and language.
Please take time to browse these pages and consider if this
could be the next stage in your professional development.
